I had the opportunity to attend some classes at Leonir City School. First we arrived at the school and we attend a class of Mr. Susan Brwon. She teaches English for foreign students. I was fascinated with her way to teach English, she used many kinds of games, fun activites and she has a mascot (a bear) that helps her in the class, the children feel more confident to talk to the mascot and say many sentences in English. Another thing I learned with the teacher is when we teach a language we have to emphasize the sounds of the letters to work with phonetics, work with a lot of visual recourses like posters, flashcards, toys, etc...
After attending classes in Elementary School, we went to High School and we attend American Literature class. The class was very interesting and we could interact with his students talking about everyday activities at school. I loved that school because all the students treats me so well, asking questions about Brazilian students and schools. I could meet a Spanish teacher there, too. His name is Santiago and he is my funny and competent teacher. He called Flaviane and me to take a picture with him in his classroom where there is a Brazilian soccer player`s shirt. His students are very interested to know things about South American. I love this experience! I could see how teachers work well in USA and how can I improve my classes in Brazil.
